Parents
The transition from high school to college can be as challenging for parents as it is for their college-bound children. MyCAP wants to make it easy for parents who are preparing their child for college. Print out this MYCAP Checklist to keep important dates and contact information organized during your child's college search process.
What is MYCAP?
MyCAP uses the power of the internet to assist college bound students in finding the right school. Students that create a MYCAP profile are essentially filling out an early admissions application to every College and University participating in MYCAP. The service also allows for easy and quick access to important information, and answers to just about any question you might encounter in your college search.
How does it work?
Your child will create a free online College Admission profile by answering a series of questions that identify what type of school they would like to attend. Through our SECURE server, College and University Admission offices then search student profiles and recruit students from anywhere in America. Once contacted, your student will be able to communicate quickly and securely with any college and university in the country. Please take a moment to read our Privacy Policy.
What can I do?
MYCAP encourages you, the parent, to participate in your child's MYCAP experience. Assist your child in filling out their MYCAP profile, and have any number of your questions answered by using our extensive college search database. If you have any questions please contact one of our representatives, and they will be more than happy to assist you.
MYCAP has also compiled this list of sites that you may also find useful as your child begins their college experience.
